How to Use Writting As A Tool For Problem Solving

I consider myself a writer. Not a very good one but more of a consistent one who uses writing as a tool for clarity and success. These words either stay in my journal or get published here.

Everything I write on this blog is my mere opinion and lessons learned. I write for my four younger brothers, for me, and for anyone who might take anything good out of my writing.

Writing For Growth

Everything I write is based on a book I’m reading, an epiphany, or something I hear that led me into a rabbit hole. If it’s something useful I write it down. I believe that everyone should record their thoughts in some type of form.

You should record your words in the form of a vlogger, blogger, writer, podcaster, or on any other platform that allows you to share your life learnings. You never know where and what it could lead to. You build clarity, creativity, self-discipline, and consistency.

You get to record your growth.

Recording Your Thoughts With Purpose. Writing/ Journaling

A journal has been crucial to my mental and emotional development and well-being. When life has given me some of my toughest challenges, writing has been my best escape and one of my best tools for clarity and problem-solving.

If you’re struggling with a specific problem or are looking for creative ideas it’s best to carry a small journal with you. You will start seeing patterns and answers in everything that you do. Write those ideas down as soon as possible. Trust me you will not remember it no matter how much you think you will.

You can later on develop those thoughts and ideas.

Writing keeps your mind sharp. Your thoughts become more clear and you start seeing patterns in your thinking.

Being disciplined and consistent can be really hard.

Write what you learn. Use your challenges as growth opportunities. Record them. Others find themselves in the same boat. They’ll appreciate your content and will connect with you.

Make It A Habit

Make writing a habit by choosing one thing you want to improve on. For the next 30 days, you will carry a journal with you. Anything related to your current goal has to be written here.

Set 5 minutes to 1 hour if possible. If you can only do a short amount of time it’s okay. The point is to write anything about your goal. The point is to make it a habit of writing and to start letting your conscience know you’re trying to achieve something and to find solutions for your current goal. Trust me you will see progress. Where your focus goes energy flows.

I call it dump writing. I write anything that comes to my mind related to my goal (more like complaining writing) and I write what I believe needs to be solved and possible solutions.

Most of your problems and anxiety will diminish tremendously once you put them on paper. Your mind can run hundreds of miles per hour thinking of everything you want to do, will have to do to get there, what might happen, and on and on and on. Putting it on paper slows you down, and gives you perspective and reasonable action steps.
