Is your Only Consistency Not Showing Up?
You know what you have to do or at least you know the small steps you need to start and then you open YouTube and start scrolling. There are many hobbies and dreams you want to pursue and you know you have the ability but you lack action.
We know what we want is not impossible. It’s our self-sabotage that holds us back. It may just take consistent effort, not some Einstein high IQ or David Goggins killer discipline which I wish I had. Yet, we can’t muster the strength to do the one small action that will bring us closer to our goals.
We kill the time and energy procrastinating instead of spending that same time and energy failing at doing the actual work to achieve our goals.
We only need consistent 1 rep at a time, or five minutes at a time, or a word at a time and after each small marginal step, we find ourselves being able to do way more than we thought possible.
Those consistent marginal steps compound. The learning compounds. The results bring on more momentum and suddenly we know what it feels like to be motivated and disciplined.
