We don’t see the small changes around us until we can no longer ignore them. The grass outside, your hair, your kids. A constant change and growth that suddenly hits us once we become aware of it. It often surprises us as if we didn’t expect it to happen.

We let time pass and we forget there is more in us, more that we desire to accomplish.

Are we waiting for that moment of awareness where we (act) surprised and ask ourselves where the time went?

It pains us to show up to work for a boss we don’t like, a job we don’t like, or a career we don’t like. But, it’s no surprise we have to show up to work for the next week, month, year, or decade. Yet, we still do it because we have to even when we hate the job or life we’re currently in.

We know we want to change but we can’t show up for ourselves even when in our hearts we know we want change.

When do we get to show up for ourselves as much as we show up for others and other things?

Where is that small marginal step we can take every day to move one step forward toward our goals?

The real work, growth, and change happen when we make time for ourselves. When we show up to the “court” and no one is there.

Big or small, each time you show is a powerful step forward to your success. Suddenly you look different, act different, feel different, all because of the work you did behind the curtains. That one small step that even you didn’t know it mattered is the one step that made all of the difference.

Do the work that no one knew about until it coulnd’t be ignored.
