When trying to figure out what we want out of life we get the question “What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail and money wasn’t the problem?”.

It’s hard to grasp the concept of infinite money and no failure. We mention things like traveling the world, buying a big house, starting your business, quitting your job, and living off the grid, etc. All these are great and sound lovely for a minute or two but none of these are specific. None help to take action and none give you real clarity about your dreams, goals, and aspirations.

Heck, money will surely buy you experiences, the attention of certain people, and the ability to travel whenever and wherever you want. But,

What experiences, attention from what people, and where do you even want to travel to? Would you be genuinely happy with the way you look and feel, and the people surrounding you, and would you still think that something in you is missing? That part of your heart that for some reason is not fulfilled, would it still feel empty?

How much are you missing in front of you that you already have and are taking for granted? What action are you procrastinating on right now because of constantly thinking of the what ifs and the only ifs? “Only if I was rich and famous, or had the opportunities others have”.

Would money even make you happy? How much money? Don’t just say a huge number without actually making a list of exactly all the experiences and materials you want within the next 10 years.

Come on try this for ten minutes. Set a timer. Write down 3 experiences and 3 material things you would like to obtain within the next 5 to 10 years. Probably some of your items can be accomplished this year.

Get specific a take the first step. Your answers come from action or at least they take you closer. The only failure is to yourself for not going for it.
